About

Creating beauty.

We interpret your dreams as they relate to your living space. As opposed to imposing a design aesthetic or trend, the process begins with a conversation about how you want to live in your home. We lead the creative process, assemble a team of capable vendors, and manage the project from start to finish.

Alexis grew up in a New Jersey suburb of Manhattan, in a house that was frequently getting refreshed, exposing her early on to the synergy between designers, architects and contractors, and the essential role of a good designer. She was fascinated by blueprints (yes, they were blue!) and had an innate curiosity about design.

Nevertheless, she pursued a career in law. After graduating with honors from Trinity College in Connecticut with a BA in American Studies and a minor in Legal Studies, she completed her first year of law school, which revealed that her passions and aptitudes were elsewhere. She traded law school for art school where she felt at home. She realized that interior design was the perfect fit because it requires a pragmatic sensibility to make a space ‘work’ as well as a robust imagination to create beauty.

After earning a BA in Interior Architecture and Design, Alexis landed her dream job at Jeffers Design Group under the tutelage of Jay Jeffers and Kelly Hohla. At JDG she refined her design eye, and she learned how to manage the flow of a project to ensure a flawlessly delivered product.

Over the years, interior design has provided a foray into other creative endeavors: namely, event planning and apparel design, broadening and deepening her business acumen.  But all roads led back to her origin and her love of helping people create their most cherished spaces.

Alexis describes her own style as refined yet comfortable, and transitional with a respect for the traditional. When not focused on indoor spaces, Alexis finds inspiration and rejuvenation outdoors as an avid cyclist, swimmer, and skier. She can be found in Tahoe as much as possible, dreaming about visiting mountain towns all over the world, strolling Crissy Field with her dog, or climbing Mount Tam on her bike.
